The Mercedes-AMG GT 43 is a luxury four-door coupe by AMG, the high-performance subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz AG. The AMG GT 43 is part of an annual lineup of executive cars that Mercedes started releasing in 2019. It features a front-engine layout with rear-wheel drive or 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. The GT 43 utilizes the EQ Boost mild hybrid system. In this setup, it uses an electrically driven supercharger and a 48-volt electric motor for additional power and torque. As a result, an extra 21 hp and 184 pound-feet are added.
The 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT 43 starts at $100,100 which is the base price for this year’s AMG GT four-door sedan releases. It’s a modest price for comparable premium sports sedans. The Audi RS7 starts at $130,195 for example, while the BMW Gran Coupe goes for $140,795. The 2024 GT 43 features a 3.0-liter electrified I6 engine that outputs 362 hp and max torque of 369 pound-feet. While impressive, it’s AMG’s entry-level model for 2024’s lineup. This lineup includes the GT 63 S E Performance variant which more than doubles the GT 43’s power, coming at an overwhelming 831 hp.
